What is Volunteer Manager?
This is a system that the PTO uses to organize ourselves. We need a centralized place to store our volunteers info without it being on someone’s personal computer at home!
Is it safe?
We do not share your information with any other parties. This if Zaharis PTO volunteer projects and communications ONLY!
What do I need to do?
Log on to www.ptomanager.com and if you already get emails from the PTO – your user id is your email address and if you forgot your password – just click on “I forgot my password” and the system will email you your password.
You may change the password once you log on. There is a “Change Password” button you can click on.
Once you are logged on you can enter your phone number and email address. If you do not enter an email address – you will NOT get emails from us.
You can also access the volunteer manager through the PTO website at www.zaharispto.org.
Will I get junk email?
No – this is only for PTO business. We usually send out two emails a month with the minutes from the PTO board meetings and sub-committee reports. We may also indicate special help needed in these emails.
Do I need to enter my interests?
No – this is just helpful to the PTO sub-committees to identify which parents are interested in helping out. If you see that we are missing any areas of interest – please let us know – we are learning how to best use this system ourselves. If you do enter interests – expect a phone call or email from the committee chair with more details on that particular interest. You can help as much or as little as you are able. If you are contacted at a bad time – just say so! No hard feelings.
Do I need to enter my child’s info?
The only thing we are really interested in is the child’s room number and whether you want to be a PTO Room Contact or Classroom Parent. We don’t even need your child’s name – you can enter a question mark there if you like. We won’t use the birthday info or any of the other “custom fields” at this time.
